I find the windscreen helps quite a lot. I started out with a little Maier handlebar-mounted screen (about $45US), but it didn't do that much, and vibrated irritatingly at 60+ MPH. Now I have a fork-mounted Rifle (www.rifle.com, $250), and it's much better. They come in three sizes, 14", 16", and 18" above the headlight. I got the 16" one (I'm 5'8"), but if I were to do it again, I'd get the 18-incher and cut it back if needed. The Rifle is top quality billet and stainless hardware, but is quite expensive.
